I'll share my content marketing examples and the exact ChatGPT prompts I use, along with other content marketing tips to make content repurposing easier. Stick around until the end for my favorite content marketing template, which will help streamline your entire content marketing system and attract the leads and sales you need in your coaching business.
Here's a secret that will change your entire online coaching business: the faster you simplify and streamline your content marketing plan, the faster you'll experience leads and sales. Content repurposing is a crucial part of this.
Your content marketing system is the bridge that builds connections, trust, and momentum within your audience. The key is to avoid creating extra work for yourself. I'm not suggesting you create brand new daily content on all platforms. Instead, I use a secret weapon: repurposing one piece of weekly long-form content. This is one of the fastest and easiest ways to be everywhere online without burning out.
Long-form content is an in-depth educational piece that helps your audience achieve immediate results. It also aids search engines like Google, YouTube, and Pinterest in organically recommending your content to the right people. Examples of long-form content that can help you rank on the first page of search engines include:
These forms of content will work for you forever!
The simplest form of content repurposing is taking what you've created for one platform and sharing it directly on another. For example, I copy and paste my YouTube scripts directly into blogs. With a bit of tweaking, they could easily be turned into podcasts and LinkedIn articles.
People like to consume their content in different ways (e.g., reading blogs, watching YouTube videos, listening to podcasts). Copying and pasting full pieces of content reaches different audiences on different platforms.
When repurposing content, it’s crucial to align it with the different platforms. For instance, I use ChatGPT to support me with formatting when turning YouTube scripts into blogs because a well-formatted blog ranks better. Here’s the ChatGPT prompt I use:
“I’d like to turn this YouTube Script into a high-ranking blog post that’s around 3000 words. Please rewrite, add to or improve the blog post acting as a content marketing strategist, and share the content in a conversational yet directive tone. Please format the blog post in H1, H2, and H3 headings, and create bullet points and bold text where necessary. Here are the keywords I’d like to rank for: Content Repurposing, content repurposing strategy, how to repurpose content, Content marketing, content marketing strategy, content marketing system, content marketing tips, content strategy, content marketing plan. Here’s my current script…”
Using this prompt supports ChatGPT in delivering the best possible formatted blog post, increasing my chances of ranking on search engines.
This strategy involves breaking down long-form content, such as YouTube scripts or blog posts, into smaller pieces that can be shared across different platforms. For example, I use snippets of my YouTube scripts to create marketing emails, Pins for Pinterest, and YouTube Shorts.
Here are some examples of how I use ChatGPT for this purpose:
Marketing Emails:
“I’d like you to turn this long-form piece of content into a marketing email that inspires my email subscribers to click the link and watch my full YouTube video. Please also add a link at the end for people who would rather read the blog. Something like… Prefer the blog instead? Click here!”
Pinterest Pins:
“Awesome! I’d additionally like to create 5 high-ranking pins on Pinterest. Can you give me 10 high-ranking titles to choose from? As well as 5 Idea Pin options for this content?”
Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts:
“Perfect! I’m also going to create 5 Instagram reels and YouTube Shorts. Can you generate 10 catchy Instagram reel and YouTube short ideas to choose from?”
I also use ChatGPT to scan my blogs for quotes, polls, conversation-starting questions, and carousel ideas to share with my Facebook group. Additionally, I ask for highly clickable email subject lines and YouTube titles.
This strategy focuses on breathing new life into content that has performed exceptionally well in the past. It ensures that you know your current audience cares about the topic, and you can rank for it.
Once a month, I review my analytics on Pinterest, YouTube, and Google (my blog) to see which content is performing the best. Then, I put a new spin on the content and post it again. For example, if my most viewed blog that month was "How To Create A Content Marketing Plan," I'd write additional blogs like:
This repurposing strategy not only strengthens the value of our existing content but also supports our audience in receiving more relevant and impactful guidance from us.
These three repurposing options are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to creating content that stands out.
📣 Lastly, if this blog was just what you needed in your coaching business, please let me know by sharing it with your coach friends.
Until next time, Coach… keep building your empire!
