That’s why today in this mini life coach training we’re going to dive into a few one on one coaching options so that you can run your online coaching business in a way that feels authentic to you, your energy levels and your lifestyle goals.
Because, I’ll tell ya what Friend, there’s nothing worse than creating a coaching business model you feel drained or imprisoned by.
So, our goal today is for you to see the coaching package options neatly laid out in front of you so that you can start to enroll coaching clients as soon as possible.
I’m even going to share a few examples of my one on one coaching options as well as how they’ve shifted throughout the years.
Now, first things first, there are a few things to consider as you begin to put together a one on one coaching package.
One on one coaching is a rewarding, win-win experience when you’re clear on your energy levels, rest cycles, and what you need in order for your cup to be full before giving to anyone else.
When thinking about your energy levels, you want to consider your natural rhythms, peak productivity hours, and moments when you feel most alive.
This awareness will be key in creating coaching package options that complement your energy, supporting you in delivering your best to clients while maintaining your well-being.
Not all one on one coaching packages need to be 6 or 12 months.
The key here is to align your coaching packages with what suits your energy levels, and the depth of transformation your clients are able to achieve within that time frame.
I’ve seen short-term intensive coaching packages that were super niched and lasted 4, 8 or 12 weeks… all the way up to long term transformative options.
So, again you’re considering the sweet spot between how long your clients actually need to create the result they’re looking for, and how it aligns with your well-being.
Each of your coaching packages will be designed with a specific person in mind.
That’s why most one on one coaching options will require completing some sort of application process or hopping on a quick call to be sure the relationship is the right fit.
This is your opportunity to determine the level of readiness of your potential one on one coaching client.
Here’s what I mean by the level of readiness. You’re going to ask yourself these simple questions…
When you know the answers to these questions you can tailor your offerings to meet specific clients where they are on their journey, ensuring a more effective and fulfilling coaching experience.
And for clients that might not be ready yet, you can share a different signature offer that might be a better fit… maybe a digital product, online course, or group coaching experience!
One common pitfall I see in the coaching world is coaches overextending themselves with too many one on one coaching sessions.
We’re going to talk about all the different one on one coaching session options in a minute here, but it’s important to explore strategies that allow you to give generously without burning out.
This includes setting boundaries, incorporating self-care and self leadership practices, and being mindful of your own needs as you support your clients.

Something I do with my one on one coaching clients is give them access to my full membership and resource library during our time together. Here's a sneak peek of a few of the resources👇🏽👇🏽
So, if a question comes up that requires more depth of knowledge, or if using a template might make their life easier, or if implementing a done-for-you script or Trello board will help them get results faster… they’ll have access to everything they need and I can guide them there quickly!
📣 Speaking of Trello Boards... Click here to get access to The Signature Program Trello Board that will make creating all your signature offers a zillion times easier!
Overall, the best part about all this is I’m not burning out because I’m guiding them to resources I’ve already created and packaged. So, it’s win-win for everyone.
Now that you’re clear on some of the pre-coaching package considerations, let’s get to the details within your one on one coaching packages starting with…
Part of your one on one coaching session structure is referring to how you communicate with your coaching client throughout the coaching package.
This can look like:
This is where I started in 2013 when I first began enrolling clients into my coaching business. At the time I was building an in person community (before I went online) and was testing out the content flow in my first signature program.
In person coaching was ideal for local clients and offered a personal touch with face-to-face connections. I used to get a lot of great feedback on that.
However, with my energy levels I quickly realized that even though I LOVED and was lit up by my one on one coaching clients, I felt beyond drained by the end of coaching days leaving little time or energy for friends, family, or other projects I had going on in my business.
That’s when I quickly made the shift into…
Leveraging technology and switching over to zoom coaching sessions opened up the opportunity to support all my coaching relationships (even local ones) without geographical limitations.
So, my clients and I were able to live or travel anywhere and still be able to connect. I also noticed that zoom sessions were less taxing on my energy.
Overall, it was a great way to expand my reach and I quickly started to attract clients from all around the world.
And then, a few years ago, I learned about a session option that completely blew my mind 🤯 and took my love for one-on-one coaching to a new level. And that’s…
The Tele-Coaching model is phone-based coaching for those who prefer real time and quick interactions throughout their days or weeks.
You and your client can communicate via text, voice memos, and videos during a specific time slot… and can even send links and documents!
Let me show you a quick example of what this can look like.
So, this option not only provides flexibility for both the coach and client, it also creates ongoing conversations, oftentimes immediate feedback, and quick results.
I’ll tell ya, 30 Days Of Tele-Coaching has quickly become my favorite way to coach and be coached.
Now that we’ve covered session options, let’s move on to…
This is referring to how often you and your client will communicate in your coaching package, as well as the overall duration of your coaching package. You can have…
This package is typically shorter in duration (e.g. 4 or 6 weeks) and intensive Monday-Friday support for clients seeking daily guidance.
You can easily use the Tele-Coaching model for this package, or I’ve also seen daily email support packages (where the coach can schedule out daily emails ahead of time).
As you can imagine, the Daily Check-In Package requires a structured communication plan to manage expectations.
But overall, It’s a wonderful, high impact, profitable package option if done right.
You’re most likely familiar with this package. It’s your standard once per week coaching sessions ranging from 30 to 60 minutes.
And this package is most supportive for clients with a regular routine and who enjoy weekly accountability.
This package offers flexibility for clients with a busier schedule, and/or clients that don’t need as much one on one time.
The longer intervals between coaching sessions allows for more independent work and implementation, so oftentimes clients like that they have a little additional time to make progress before the next coaching call.
During this package the client and coach meet once per month, and these folks usually fall into one of two categories.
Either they like having a coach on retainer in case something comes up.
And/or they are in the implementation phase of their business and don’t need as much support throughout the month.
Either way, they welcome the extended time between sessions and use it for reflection, implementation, and tracking progress.
As I’ve shifted my ideal clients throughout the years, I’ve moved more into the bank of sessions package. Having a bank of 6 or 12 or 24 sessions offers flexible scheduling for clients with unpredictable needs.
To maintain consistency I typically have clients schedule one monthly session to ensure progress and alignment, and then they can use their bank of sessions throughout the month as needed.
It’s important to know that when offering a bank of coaching sessions the sessions must be used within a specific timeframe. I let my clients know up front that the sessions must be used during the duration of our coaching package.
I also send out a monthly email letting them know how many sessions have been used, how many sessions are remaining, and how much time is left in our coaching package.
This helps everyone have clarity and maintain a clean connection in our coaching relationship.
And as a quick example I wanted to show you my current One On One Coaching Packages.
As you can see, I’m offering a hybrid of the Tele-Coaching Model and a bank of sessions within each package. I also include my entire resource library and free admission to monthly events, challenges and group coaching experiences.
Now let’s get into …
Oftentimes clients will ask me what they should talk about in one on one coaching sessions, and there are a few different topic options we brainstorm.
The truth is, if you’re clear on your genius and expertise, and you’re courageously sharing that with the world, most clients will come to you for the same reason.
The reason is… they want the results you have… whether it be materially, mentally, physically, emotionally, or spiritually. You’re the living breathing results they see for themselves.
In saying that, here are a few topics you can talk about on coaching calls to support your one on one coaching clients.
Following a pre-recorded signature program or online course guides clients through a structured curriculum with support.
This is ideal for clients who do well with structure and step by steps, but may need support with implementation and feedback.
So, the way I do this is I’ll have one on one coaching clients complete a full module and start the implementation process, and then on our call we discuss aha’s and wins from that module, as well as anything that came up and may need support with.
And if you want to create the full outline for your coaching program by the end of this weekend, click here and I’ll walk you through the steps on how to do that, as well as give you the full template my clients and I use.

Specialized coaching on a particular area of expertise typically sells better than broad, vague or general coaching topics… or someone who is a jack of all trades.
Reason being that your clients will typically be working on one thing at a time.
So, niched coaching will appeal to clients seeking targeted support for a specific area of business and/or life.
This is a collaborative approach where coach and client work together on specific tasks or an overall project like creating a sales page that converts.
This may look like:
✅ brainstorming
✅ offering feedback & suggestions
✅ the client bouncing ideas off the coach
During this time, you as the coach may share stories, examples and expertise to support your client in going further faster.
This means you’re going to have adaptable sessions based on client needs and priorities. The open coaching approach allows for a more spontaneous and responsive coaching style.
Remember Coach, this is YOUR business and you get to create your packages in your way!
You can easily combine tele-coaching days and online zoom sessions if that’s your vibe.
You can switch between coaching topics throughout your coaching session.
There are no rules and it’s completely up to you!
In saying that I did want to share one last…
Regardless of the coaching package you put together, it’s important to create a welcome email sequence that lasts the duration of your time together.
Having this one simple system in place will support your coaching client in feeling seen, supported, and valued throughout your time together.
Because let’s face it… we all get busy and sometimes things slip through the cracks.
But if your email campaign is automated and set to begin the moment your new client purchases, it’ll help put their mind at ease and even give them their first assignment!
In the Welcome Email Sequence you can have:
And if you want more details on each of these emails go ahead and click here and I’ll walk you through the content within each of those emails.

By incorporating this welcome email sequence, you're not just a coach; you're a guide, a supporter, and a partner in their transformative journey.
It's the small details like these that make the coaching experience world class.
